Our Story

Six generations

The Davidson Farm was established in 1898 and has stayed in the same family ever since, six generations of it, on the same ground in Rogersville, Tennessee. The country store began as Looney's Store in 1902, built by M. S. Looney, and it still carries that name on the sign out front.

Today the farm raises what fills the store, and the store feeds the neighbors it has served for more than a century. In the fall the fields turn into Pumpkin Valley.

This history is the best thing the business has, and right now it lives only in a Facebook post. To finish this page we need a few things from you:

  • Family names and which generation each one belonged to
  • What the farm raised and grew over the years
  • How the store came into the family from the Looneys
  • Any old photographs, however faded

Send them to katie@thedavidsonfarm.net and this page gets written properly.
